In 2025, Tess was a panelist at the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Writers Festival at Maleny and guest speaker for Sisters in Crime events. She was twice interviewed on ABC radio and was guest speaker at various book club events.
New Workshop for 2026 Events
Tess has developed a 90 minute (flexible from 60 to 120 min) workshop to share her discoveries in researching and writing with respect to ICIP (Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property) protocols and writing with sensitivity. This workshop draws on her experiences in researching and writing her 2025 release Red Dirt Blue Lights and her training qualifications. Please Contact Tess for details.

Workshop Description:
This workshop will help writers to establish whether ICIP Protocols apply to their writing project, and how to write with sensitivity and respect to ICIP when including Indigenous People, or fictional Indigenous characters, Indigenous Culture or history. Also highlighting sensitivity towards other cultures and in writing about other topics including health, gender related topics and more.
